· A rider’s age is determined by their age as of 12/1/02.

· A Beginner is any rider in their first two years of showing. Please do not cross enter Beginner Walk/Trot and Beginner Walk/Trot/Canter classes.

· Short Stirrup is open to any rider 12 years and younger.

· Long Stirrup is open to any non-professional rider 13 years and older.

· Schooling Hunter is open to any non-professional rider.

· Open classes have no restrictions

· Pony Hunter classes are open to any non-professional rider on a mount 14.2 hands and smaller. The distances will not be changed but there will be no combinations.

· A Junior is any rider under 18 years.

· A Senior is any non-professional rider 18 years and over.

· Jumper heights:

Level 1 Level 2 Level 3

2’9”-3’ 3’-3’3” 3’3”-3’6”

 · Hunter Over Fences classes will be judged on the horse’s performance, style, and manners over a course of jumps.

· Hunter Under Saddle classes will be judged on the horse’s movement and attitude on the flat.

· Equitation Over Fences classes will be judged on the rider’s effectiveness and position and on the overall smoothness of a course of jumps.

· Equitation on the Flat classes will be judged on the rider’s effectiveness and position on the flat.
